Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

From the Alice in Wonderland contest. I'm not in 25........
Do you really think I deserved like that? I know I'm not good enough to get the prize but I can't believe I'm not in the 25?
I can see all the 25 works are NOT anime art....does that mean all the judge don't like anime and cut down all anime works?
I though the contest is about Alice in Wonderland : Tim Burton for only "inspiration"......not just COPY his movie character..........
I saw many works that in 25 only just COPY.......only COPY.......and you can win the contest? So you don't have to think anything? just use somebodyelse brain? and win? What the hell? I thought Deviant Art is a art website but now I can see it is not.....
I put my imagination into my work...I'M NOT A COPYING ARTIST I'm truly disappoint with this...

I saw many people said I did read the rules. That wasn't true. I opened those rule for more than 20 times and I understand it I need to represent myself as a 1 character in wonderland and I did. I'm a Alice in my underland. I'm a girl so I'm Alice in my style. And what's wrong with it? Many in 25 make me can't even tell either that they are represent themself as what?

And I'm not assumed that all of 25 works are bad Yes many of it are wonderful and very good in technique + inspiration but some of it just NOT AT ALL.

I was upset that yours wasn't on there too. It's my desktop background, actually. TBH, there were only one, two, three works tops I actually liked on the top 25. I feel like the judge, well, wasn't a good one. No anime and everything looked entirely copied. I don't get it either, but if it helps I really think you deserved to be in at the very least, the top five.

( especially because you've had a very nice work posted. when i saw your work for the contest for the first time i said "oh my god, this will totally win!!". even though there are may be artists that draw better than you....you are right, there wasn't even one in the semifinalists that was more original then you was....so i kinda understand your point and i agree with it...but don't be upset! you have your own fans: us, who are writing to you and trying to cheer our hero-artist up
